Italy Bareboat Yachts

Positano on the Italian Amalfi Coast bareboating paradise

Italy presents the bareboat enthusiast with an enormous variety of all the things we actually go bareboating for: exploring neat little villages, beautiful beaches, very friendly people and magnificent food. Ah, yes, the food. Whether it be at an elegant restaurant in Naples or Milan or even Rome, or whether it be in a a dockside trattoria in the Amalfi  or Sicily and especially Sardinia, it’s always the food and the wine that keep bringing us back.

You can start your charter in Naples and explore the islands of Capri and Ischia, run down the Aeolian chain of islands to Sicily. Another alternative is to start in Genoa and explore Portofino, the Cinque Terre, down to La Spezia. OR start in Porto Cervo, Sardinia and explore Isola Maddalena and Corsica’s Eastern side.

Italy has  something for everyone with many bareboat operating companies in all the key locations. Contact us for details or use our search engines.

American Yacht works with operating companies in the following locations in Italy; from North to South and all of them on the West Coast which is the most interesting:

Viareggio: great starting place for North-bound itineraries to include La Spezia, and the Cinque Terre, Sestri-Levante, Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino, it’s close to the airport of Pisa Galilei (PSA)

Salivoli: good jumping off point for The island of Elba (of Napoleonic fame)  the Island of Capraia, and next stop: Macinaggio in Corsica; plus another few nice little islands to the South of Elba. Pisa Galilei is the closest airport.

Nettuno, Napoli, Castellamare, and Salerno: the heart of the Amalfi coast, can visit islands of Capri, Ischia, Ventotene, and Ponza. Airport of Napoli. (Naples)

Tropea and Vibo Valentia: jumping off point for the Aeolian Islands and volcanoes Stromboli, Lipari etc. all the way down to Sicily. Airport of Lamezia – Terme.
